BUSINESS CULTURE: THE GERMAN EXAMPLE
On June 17, 2016, six Chinese professional entrepreneurs from the finance and international trading sectors took part in a study visit to BMW and the German brewery Spaten-Franziskaner-Bräu in Munich.
During this trip, the delegates gained some experience of Germany’s organizational culture and professional perspectives.
In China under its current economic conditions, Chinese companies constantly need to find innovative methods and varied models from abroad, in order to sustain their international development and relationships.
During the visit to Munich, the participants sought to gain an understanding of the professional culture of BMW, the beer-brewing technology at Spaten-Franziskaner-Bräu, as well as the development of the automotive and beverage industries. At BMW, the visit was enriched by an exhibition of engineering developments ranging from aircraft engines to car production. The professional guide at Spaten-Franziskaner-Bräu exchanged information with the delegates, explaining how that company has integrated the traditional brewing process with modern technology and equipment for beer production.
Besides learning about German firms’ professional perspectives during this trip, participants were also encouraged to have a look at new models and designs launched by BMW and they were impressed by the 500-year tradition of brewing techniques that Spaten-Franziskaner-Bräu carries on.
At the end of the trip in Munich, the delegates in this trip appreciated the opportunity to visit German enterprises as well as to experience some of Bavarian culture.
