BUILDING INDUSTRY IN CANADA

From November 30th to December 7th of 2014, leading experts and managers of Russian construction companies attended the seminar "Residential development and construction industry in Canada", held in Toronto, Canada.

During this study tour, the participants were introduced to modern engineering methods and technologies used in Canada, and had an opportunity to visit the facilities built using the latest advances in the field of construction. The organizers of the seminar secured participation of Design and Engineering Department of the City of Toronto, who introduced the participants to the current technological trends in the Canadian real-estate market.

During one of the days of this study visit, the delegates attended the CERBA conference, which included participation of the president of Hopewell Management International, Paul Taylor as well as Deputy Director of the Department of Housing Policy of Ministry of Construction of Russian Federation, Alik Faizullin and Economic Advisor to the Embassy of Republic of Kazakhstan in Canada, Daniar Seidaliev. In the course of the conference, the management of one of Canada's leading construction companies presented their latest projects, covered issues such as changing construction market in Russia and Eurasia, and also spoke about the use of innovation in construction and problems of modern urban infrastructure.

The seminar was attended by the head of the administration of the city of Smolensk Nikolai Alasheev, as well as managers and chief engineers of the largest construction companies in Russia and Kazakhstan. Participants thanked the organizers for the excellent organization of the event and acknowledged the value of visiting international exhibition of goods and services aimed at construction industry: “Construct Canada”.
